86 Mazda RX7 Starting problems?

Having a problem. It wont start. Had starter checked its good. when you turn the key it acts like it has a dead battery but the lights come on and the battery is brand new. the car Runs great after you get it started (push/roll off style) but it wont start by the key. hat could be causing the problem?
 
This may sound silly, But check the battery fuse.
I had to replace mine the other day.
It is located under the hood but I don't think the light would go on. hmm
Check the starter solenoid its probably that.
