850 to 710 sim swap

Was wondering if you guys could help my out. I currently have an I850 that has been beat to heck. Ive only had it for about 2.5 months but work really seemed to beat it up.

I know about all the drama w/ the 930 and upcoming 870 and hope to get one when it all gets worked out but I dont think my phone will live to then....

Ive got my old 710 in pretty near-new condition. Switching the SIM seems to work fine for the phone-line and DC but I cant text message. When I got to Net>Business Tools>Text Messaging and it tells me to go to the "Message Center" but the 710 doesnt have one.

Anything I can do about this?

call customer support, or go to a retail store, explain what you did and tell them to switch your phone in the system to a i710, and you will get the web based text messaging back.
