My truck came with an electric fuel pump when I bought it and I was going to put a mechanical fuel pump on it but the push rod doesn't move up and down. I disabled the ignition and had someone else tap the ignition cause it seemed that the rod was sticking out to far like it was sitting on the high point of the cam but rotating the engine didn't make the push rod move. Does anyone have any knowledge of what might be happening. I know the motor has a mild cam in it.
