exhaust exhaust exhaust....u really only hear the dry clutch when in neutral or clutch lever is pulled in. right??? or wrong??? exhaust u hear all the time.

exhaust...for sure. Your neighbors are probably used to your clutch, the exhaust will surely piss them off in the morning. A great start to any day!

correct me if I'm off base as I have an 848 and have never had the dry clutch, but isn't it really only advantageous if you are at the track? If that is the case the exhaust is potentially cheaper and makes the bike sound much better.

The sound of a dry clutch is what makes ducati's distinct sound. Thanks for all the input. I was gonna downgrade my termi back to stock to buy the dry slipper clutch but i'm going for broke and will have the best of both worlds. The dry clutch kit should be on my bike by Friday since it's in the mail.

You can remove the silencers from your exhaust for $0!!! Take a drill and either a die grinder or a dremel and clean up the mess. There are plenty of write-ups here on the forum that can provide all the assistance you want with probably 6 different ways of going about it. I just cut the silencers out of my 1098 pipes over the weekend and it got 2-3x louder (if it were something I rode daily it could possibly be a tad obnoxious). While I love the look of aftermarket cans I am completely satisfied in having the loud sound for no money. Didn't have to disassemble anything, all factory rivets are in place. I will likely tear them apart before summer gets here so I can remove the Cats so my butt doesn't fry when the temps reach 90 outside but that is another weekend project.

Just my $.02.

i got exhaust first but I am craving that dry clutch. I never really thought it would bother me but it does.

That said, I couldnt own a duc without exhaust

I know what you mean one2gamble. It didn't bother me at first having the wet clutch until I actually heard a dry clutch duc and it made me feel That $2K price tag with install sure hurts but I can't wait to have it on Friday. Btw, those dry slipper kits are on a crazy backorder that Ducati North America is no longer taking orders since they have people in line with no date of arrival. I was lucky enough to find a dealer that had ONE in stock so I had to pull the trigger.
