82 Suzuki won't start?

won't start unless I add starting fluid then she runs like a champ. But if I shut it down and try a restart no start untill I add more starting fluid. Cany anyone point me in the right direction please?
 
sounds like you need the carb cleaned out especially the jets, check fuel filter as well
 
Could be either a carb problem or low compression. Do a compression test first then maybe see about rebuilding your carb. Careful if its low compression, she may blow!
 
You don't mention what model you have, but reguardless check the compression first. I'm betting low compression in one or more cylinders. If compression is okay, clean the carbs and look at the boots on both sides of the carb. Check air filter and then fuel filter.
 
The battery may not have enough cranking amps and needs to be charged or their could be a idle jet restriction in one of the carb.idle jets.
