Disappointed American Gangster (prob hangover from Departed winning last year) not done better and Sweeny Todd not nominated for best pic. Would certainly put one of them in in place of Michael Clayton which IMHO was pants.
Still who knows how the 4,000 odd members of the Academy are going to vote!
My picks:
Picture - No Country for Old Men (well deserved IMO)
Actor - Daniel Day Lewis (though he was supposedly a shoe-in for Gangs of New York and lost out - not much competition this year though, just wish they'd give Jonny Depp something!)
Actress - Julie Christie - Older woman playing someone with an illness, the Academy loves 'em! Would prefer Marion Cotillard TBH
Supporting Actor - Javier Bardem - chillingly brilliant
Supporting Actress - Most difficult I think, prob be Cate Blanchett though she's won fairly recently. Would love for Atonement girl to take it
