I am 8 days post op of having an anterior fusion from C 4,5,6 & 7. I already was fused from C 5-6. 13 yrs ago, but one of the screws broke in half. Then I developed something called adajacent segement disc disease. So this time he took out the plate that was there, as well w all the screws. He then placed a large plate n fused me from C4-7. Now im wearing a miami j collar to keep my neck intacted everyday 24 hrs a day. Should have collar on for 8 wks. Id be more than happy to answer any questions u may have.
