78 Honda CB750f, Commuter Bike?

Im thinking about buying a Honda CB750f with 17,000 miles on it and was wondering what you guys think about it being a daily commuter of about 15 miles each way. I didnt know if it was too old or if it will hold up. I havent owned an older bike before and not sure if Im going to try to ride it and its going to be a huge hassle and ill be fixing it all the time. I dont really have the money to buy a brand new bike. So, should i buy the bike and use it as a daily driver?
 
17,000 is not that many miles on a 750. The questions are how well has the bike been maintained and how well does it run now. If both points are positive, then the bike should work fine the short ride to work and back.
