70's/80's American TV show

Hey guys!

I'm trying to remember the name of the old TV show, watched it now and again as a kid. I think it was from the 70's or 80's & was shown on ITV (i think).

All I can remember is that I THINK there were 2 main characters in it & the younger one was a guardian angel? The other character was an older fatter guy who seemed to always wear a baseball cap with SA on it? I'm not sure that was the letters though lol

Thinking so much my head hurts :o

Highway To Heaven maybe? There was an old guy with a baseball cap in that although I didn't remember him being that fat. It starred the late Michael Landon from Little House On The Prairie too.
 
The show was called "Highway to Heaven" it starred Michael Landon .Can't remember what the other guy was called but it was a Oakland A's cap that he wore.
