I have a 1991 Chevrolet 300 Extended Passenger Van with a shifting issue. The transmission recently began not shifting for some reason...here are the symptoms:
The parking brake light comes on
The speedometer goes to O
The transmission will not let the van shift out of 1st gear
I can pull over when this happens and turn the van off and the issue will go away and the transmission will shift fine like nothing ever happened. I believe this may be a pump or electrical issue. It has never done this before but I have never driven it in the rain....it was raining pretty heavily when this issue began. Any guidance is appreciated
