Okay, I have two 7 week old pitbull/lab mix puppies i just recently bought a nice medium size wire crate for them. I put a nice blanket a chew toy and some bones in the crate and I have it next to the heater to keep them toasty, but my puppies will constantly whine and whine nothing is working to stop it. I've tried putting a blanket over the crate but that made things worser. They are yelling out of control at the top of there lungs and we live in a hotel. Would it work to put the crate in my jeep and put lots of blankets in it and over it at night so they can sleep as well as me or would that be cruel? I dont want their whining to end up getting us kicked out. Someone plzz help me
I tried putting the crate next to me in the day or next to bed at nights when we sleep but they continue to whine for hours and hasn't stop its been 6 hours nonstop now
i dont have a alarm clock that ticks to put in their to imitate a mother dogs heartbeart either
puppies eat and are full and have plenty of water and has used the bathroom before i put them in the crate
the tv or radio doesn't work for this problem either
for the people with the smart comments i live in a extended stay hotel which is considered an apartment that allows pets which i have paid my pet deposits

you have to IGNORE them....they simply want your attention and if you give it to them every time they whine they will never learn better. it stinks but its normal behavior.

You aren't allowed to have pets living in a hotel? If so, then poor judgment on your part. My guess is you got the pups (which were too young for you to have, but not to young to be weaned) & just stuffed them in a crate. Of course they're crying. Add to that the fact that you've got very young puppies who probably aren't getting near enough exercise considering your current living arrangement. Yes, it would be cruel to leave them in a car overnight, blankets or not. What you should do, is either return them from where you got them, or surrender them to a no-kill shelter. When you're in a better situation, then you can consider getting a dog

there puppies they need a little cuddle from there new owner there in a new place they need to make sure that are in a safe place haveing puppies is like bring a newborn home

You are in a hotel with 2 puppies?? They are going to do this for a few nights or weeks. All puppies do. Did you try a little radio with some talk on it? The TV on? soothing music? yeah, it didnt work for me either. It was night after night of little sleep while we tried to get them quiet. (I have 2 Labs pups that I brought home at 7 weeks too. The male is Lab/Rott.) It passes quickly but I am an experienced dog owner and I have never found a cure for this. sorry.
