696 is in the stable!

FINALLY got to pick up the wife's 696 today. Long story, but have had a deposit at our dealer since late September. Took awhile to get one in and then took me awhile to get the finances organized, but was very nice to just right a check for it.

Hopefully I can convince her to register here now! Aeon and Ms. TW need some strong female comrades. She rode it home from the dealer tonight. Tolerated the high 40 degree range the last 20 miles or so. She was a trooper! When we pulled in the garage and she took off her helmet, I don't know which she was doing more of, smiling or shivering!

She did some nice mods to it right out of the box. Termi slips and ECU, CRG levers, 14T sprocket, bar end mirros, CF rear hugger, and exhaust covers. The CF looks amazing with the pearl white. Can't wait 'til Guido gets some more selection for the 696....hehehe...so cool.

She worked her but off for this bike. Mom of 2, 3rd grade teacher, church children's education teacher, putting up with a husband who works way too much...

Thats a good lookin bike!!! Cograts on the new purchase!! I sure wish that my wife knew how to ride! She tried it a couple of times on a 636 I bought her, but not everyone is built for riding.
 
Yeah I am uber-lucky that she likes to ride. She was always a tomboy when we were kids (We've known each other since we were like 12...) and into mopeds, mini bikes, fishing, shooting....Though it took about 10 years of me owning various Ducs before she decided she wanted one of her own.

Didn't get that ride in today, had the post holiday sickness too much to get out....oh well weekend is coming up soon!
