I am currently in an EMT-Basic course with labs through a local Community college in NY State. (Hudson Vally CC). Next semester i have a EMT-B internship with a choice EMS squad, as well as beginning para-medicine . It is a two year paramedic A.A.S degree program. I intend on finishing this program and earning my degree, but is it worth going in the Reserves to get the bonus, and experience? I have read that it is only a basic level of training as well as combat medical training. (EMT-B only). Sooooo..... is it worth it does anybody think? Also what amount of enlistment bonuses can one expect from the medical field/ EMT's? Thanks!
