ok i finally got my 6700 working on cricket but a few things i just wanted to clear up. i tried sending a pic msg from the phone and it says msg failed wasnt the mms settings supposed to fix that? another thing anytime i try and install a program it says that theyre not a valid ppc application. i tried minimo, opera, and other ppc apps i found. anybody know why that is?

ok i went into the registry u said and i have these

(Default) (value not set)
Accept */*
Accept Charset us-ascil;utf-8;iso-10646-ucs-2
Accept-Language ge
Profile http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/Wizard-2.0.xml
User-Agent ArcSoft/MMSUA/v3.0

is that what its supposed to be? im using resco registry editor and kirvins 3.5 no junk. do i change those? and the X-Cricket-MDN is not there should i put that in and how do i do that? also is the default supposed to be there?

i think i pretty much got everything going i got the wap too but except i still cant install programs all the programs i try the phone tells me theyre not valid pocket pc application but thats what they are. and when i try sending pic messages to the phone it gets the message but i cant download it. download is there on the bottom of the screen but i cant press it. what is causing that? and for the programs could i be having that problems because maybe i need more space on the phone? for kirvins rom should i use 3.3 or 3.5?

i changed my registry settings and it didnt work also i hard resetted and tried putting my settings back in and now i dont have my wap working either. damn im so confused right now. please i need some help.

not yet i want to figure it out id like to know this. ok i changed the registry settings to what u said. the wap does work when i go to google but the cricket home page doesnt work it gives me error you do not have permission to access this site or something like that. and pic messaging isnt working either. sending or receiving. i get the message but i cant download it. could u post me ur wap settings internet settings if your using minimo and whatever other settings i might need to check and how to get into the settings i need to check please id really appreciate it. i went into the ##778 and changed the settings there, i think i got all the right ones. then to the settings>connections>connections, right there im not sure i have all the right settings im using my work network only. is that right? if i cant get it then ill try sending it to someone. plus if maybe u could chat with me on yahoo messenger im on there under swungone. if u could help me out ill be on after 5pm. right now its going to be 8am here, im in san antonio, tx. if you have time later on let me know please ill be on just add me. thanks i appreciate the help.

A couple simple solutions....

If you've already matched Berry_lthird's registry settings which he posted, let's check afewthings..

Under settings/connections/connections, is your connection set up under my work network or my ISP?

Do you have anything under the proxy info on settings/connections/connections?

In MMS configuration/servers, what does your phone say for "connect via"?

Doing the AKU update might fix BOTH.

Kirvin's will definitely fix your MMS woes. I have a tutorial in the Cricket forums here so just search.

ok under settings>connections>connections its setup under my work network, in proxy i have the two boxes checked, this network connects to the internet, and this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet. proxy server is Wap.mycricket.com, under advanced HTTP is wap.mycricket.com port 8080, but in there theres user name, password, and domain, but theyre blank. wap, secure wap, and socks are the same with nothing in user name, password, and domain. socks has socks 4 checked in it. and in mms config/servers it says connect via The WAP Network. is all that right?

The proxy info in settings/connections/connections should be empty.

Unfortunately, you probably need to hard reset your phone and reprogram it correctly. For some reason, simply deleting the info doesn't seem to work.

The proxy info is ONLY input in minimo or opera. That's the reason you have to use them.

For some reason, if you access the proxy via the connection, it blocks the MMS from sending... ever. Therefore, you have to access the proxy via the browser, and that way the phone is still free to connect to the MMS server with no proxy.

ok and in internet explorer should i uncheck the two boxes in the connections? does this mean i wont use internet explorer at all or just for wap, or just for wi-fi?
