I have the nokia 6235i and would like to know if anybody knows a easy way to turn off the banner.Im with u.s. cellular they usually dont disable settings like this but the settings to change the banner or the welcome screen do not show up in the phone settings at all.I talked to a gal at u.s. cellular and she went and got the same phone to check and could not find the settings.any help would be great.THANKS
 
Some phones have access to the sartup banner under their programming menu. You can reach the menu on some phones if the phone is unlocked. You'll have to do a search for this. Try google. Depending on the phone, some startup banners can be changed, but once the phone is turned off the "US cellular" banner will return. It's worth a try. BTW, don't mess with anything in the programming menu besides the banner if you don't know what you are doing. You can really mess up your phone!
