6100 Picture Quality Question

I have been recently started to notice alot of noise in the picture especially on HD channels and I am wondering if this is due to compression or is it possible that there might be something wrong with my receiver? I really notice artifacts on the Centre Ice HD channels (866-869) during any motion on the ice. I see alot of "blocks" and noise when there is any type of movement of the camera on the white ice. I also see some of this noise when watching a HD football game. My tv is a Panasonic 1080P plasma, only two weeks old. The "noise/blocks" on the hockey do not appear on CBC or TSN games and are not on the HD channels when viewed with a S-Video cable, just actual HD. Could this be a receiver issue and if so, what will Bell do for me, other than nothing?
 
With the 6100 I have a DVI-HDMI running from the receiver to tv. Last night I tried using a component and got the same results. The only time it went away was when using S-Video or composite. Could this be a problem with my receivers HD processing or the box in general?
 
Update:

The noise that I have been seeing on HD hockey do show up on CBC and likely TSN. I have noticed the same thing on HNIC tonight.
 
I get this also on 6100 with Sony Bravia LCD. AS players skate through centre ice they smear and appear to go out of focus briefly. Once play is in either end zone things are fine. I don't have Centre Ice so I can't comment on it. Last nights Leafs/Pens game was worse than Van/Ed later game. You can try getting a new receiver but I doubt this is the problem. I have had 2 and changing it didn't fix any of the issues I have had with it. Basically I think it is a poor receiver. I have heard the 9200 is better but has its own set of issues as well.
 
There's no need to blame yourself too hard for the bad quality. BEV is not fully utilizing the power of MPEG2 video. They are focusing in IPTV for the most part. Switch to starchoice.
 
I also have a Panasonic plasma and the 6100 receiver. I get better pq with the 6100 set to output 1080i rather than 720p. I am not seeing the noise you are describing in HNIC. I was mostly watching baseball last night, but I did check out the hockey between innings.

hd pq is becoming noticeably poorer on some channels. Starchoice doesn't have MLB Extra Innings hd, so I can't switch yet. Still, if pq degrades even further or spreads to all hd channels, then I will look to alternatives.
