A few weeks ago my son was lying in bed with me. I had the TV on, it was late, and I kept explaining to him he needed to get some rest. He then proceeded to tell me his chest hurt, like it was being crushed, however, he showed no other symptoms. Breaths normal, lungs sounded clear (with stethoscope) and he had a normal pulse. I had him get up, and drink some milk. I thought maybe he had heart burn.
Tonight, again, I let my son sleep with me. The TV was on, it was late (past his bedtime) and i told him he needed to get some rest. He then proceeded to tell me his chest felt like it did "that one night". Tonight he hate some spicy chicken, so im assuming its heart burn. I had him sit up, again, normal pulse, clear lungs and normal breaths. He acts completly normal. Doesnt act like hes in pain, so im wondering if it is just heart burn, or hes making it up so I will panic and he doesnt have to go to bed. I had him drink a glass of milk and sit up with me, and now he says he "feels all better". It worries me a bit. Im thinking I should take him to the doctor, but im not sure what all they would do for him, especially since shows no symptoms really other then him telling me, it just so happens it only comes up when he doesnt want to go to sleep.
