Hi guys,
I know a Rheumatologist that is a board certified M.D. for 4 years and is complaining about money! He said that he's a salaried hospital doctor that is a Rheumatologist that which is a non-surgical field that he says his paycheck gets "raped" to basically nothing. He said that if he knew about the future about healthcare reform during college, he would've gone a different route. He finally said that "if you think we have a net income 6 figure salary, and living a lavish lifestyle, then think again!". Even with a spouses income, its still not enough after deductions from her pay!
Why is this happing, for years, society use to believe that medicine was considered the "big bucks" profession why are the tables are turning, and is going down to 5 figures and Physician Assistances and Nurse Practitioners are doing more and getting paid better?
