5th gear whine

The whine never bothered me. It's not that loud or bothersome, maybe individual bikes have it louder than others, but mine it's not that big a deal. First gear whines the same way.

I have to admit, it used to drive me nuts (mine was quite loud). But ever since Redline SPH, I don't even notice it anymore.

A quart of 75-110 Amsoil Severe Gear is a lot cheaper and get's rid of the noise.

75-90 got rid of it in mine, I think, never really bothered me.
In the past I know it was there but I'm not sure if it's gone or I don't pay attention to it anymore.

Just a little when new in 07, after 10k or so has to listen for it to hear it..
Now with 28k and after switching to Mobil 1 75-90 GL can't hardly hear it at all..

I think HD didn't want to put a 5th Gear Light to match the 6th Gear Light so they gave us the 5th Gear Whine so we know we aren't in forth anymore...

yea they heard all the whiners, and now everybody with a 2010 and up has a helicut 5th gear which is WEAKER then the straight cut that used to be there.
