Hello all...
In reading around I see the first thing to do in this instance is call a vet... unfortunately it's Sunday night, so I'm stuck until morning... so here's the low-down, maybe someone is online right now that can help me.
So tonight I was playing with my new Christmas Present, a 5-month old kitten, who seemed to be ultra playful most of the day I was here, no issues, until I was playing meow-mania on my computer (basically it makes meowing sounds every time you click the screen) and he was investigating... after many laughs and a petting session he arched his hind legs and started being more verbal (he's been at my parent's house of a couple weeks and here since last Sunday and hasn't been very verbal at all). I noticed he quit being playful altogether and started walking with his tummy arched downward and hind legs up, kind-of like he was crouching. And, I noticed that he would lay down but not let his hind legs lay flat as if he's trying to keep his ... well, special area from touching the ground. I also noticed kicking from his hind legs. Basically, I think he's in a lot of pain... I don't know my cat well enough to know what he's in pain about, but I'm 90% sure he's not ok.
Any suggestions to help me help him, esp by morning? because he's definitely trying to get my attention and something just isn't right...
Thanks,
