Its been a while since I've needed to ask a question regarding my phone, but this one has me stumped :confused2
On my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, I will be listening to music on the bus for instance, with the phone being in silent mode. If I recieve a text from someone, the music will briefly blast out of the loudspeaker at full volume for a couple of seconds. This is extremely irritating, as not only does it defeat the purpose of silent mode on the phone, but I can't help but feel embarassed when I get half the bus staring at me  ...
I have checked the silent mode profile settings and have ensured that all options have been set to their lowest values (either 0 or off). This has had no effect on the issue. I decided to do a Google search on the matter and whilst I could not find anything relating to the 5800 on the issue, I discovered a few select people were having this problem with their N series phone. However, they were able to resolve the issue by creating a new profile with the same settings as their silent mode profile and it would stop the issue from occuring. I have tried the same method on my 5800, but this has sadly not made a difference either.
My only solution currently is to set the phone to offline mode and check for messages when I leave the bus. Since this is less than ideal, I'd rather have the problem sorted. Any suggestions would be appreciated. By the way, silent mode works fine - it is ONLY when I have my headset plugged in and am listening to music that it occurs.
Thanks in advance
