Saw an advanced screening of this film last night - loved it! :) Nicely done and very funny - it's also not too long, which always appeals to me. Recommended to anyone who liked Juno and Little Miss Sunshine!

Oh I can't wait to see this! Joseph Gordon-Levitt (love him!) and Zooey Deschanel are two of my fave indie actors, so my hopes are high. Glad you enjoyed it- good to hear a positive review!

I went to see this last night, loved it also!!! The soundtrack was also brilliant.
My favourite scene was the reality/ expectations!!

mmm, I am tempted to go and see this tonight but, did not care for little miss sunshine at all

I get the impression it is, a bitter sweet comedy about relationships, which sounRAB great, as long as it does not go, the "so in love with itself it forgets, it's audience type movie"

cmmmmmmmmmmmm

OK, well don't let that put you off - for me, the two films just had very similar effects after viewing - i.e. the characters and message staying with me. I definitely wouldn't say it's as pretentious as LMS (although I do adore the latter, too).

It was ok. Nothing special. Some of the acting was down right appalling (particularly his frienRAB).

Nice review here though, especially bit about Ikea...so true!!

preferred Adventureland, which is out in a week or two.

just got from seeing and loved it

some really cool moments in it, that you so think , yes, I so recognise that

the scene after they first ......., is a classic and so sums up that dopey kinda goofy minRABet , one can feel, really cracked me up

brilliantly done

I think it's been a bit misrepresented in the press. It's quite a gentle, slow film and a lot more subtle than all the Apatow-style broad comedies. It will appeal to film buRAB because it has some clever references to other films and likewise to music fans, but it's more likely to get you smiling quietly than laughing out loud.

It's not kooky and it's not Annie Hall for the 2000s. Some journalists have been very lazy in their descriptions.

I wish someone would tie Richard Curtis to a cinema seat and make him watch this class offering 500 times to make him realise what horse's shit his own piss-poor efforts are!

I didn't laugh that much, but alot of the teens in the audience did. It's a nice film, but not much more.

It was interesting to see a rom-com that showed love/heartache from a male perspective.

it was different to the usual love story you see. different perspective. Not something i'd watch again though. It was more like short scenes put together for 1hr 30mins, which is ok because it's different, but obviously it was hardly a gripping storyline or the kind of film that will leave you feeling fuzzy inside.

PENIS!!!!!!

I really wasn't looking forward to seing this, and was almost literally dragged to see it by my girlfriend, but was really quite pleasantly surprised.

It probably helped that I was seriously in love with Zooey Deschanel BEFORE watching it, now I'm just bloody infatuated!

As somebody's mentioned before on the thread it takes a decent stab at looking at love/relationships from a male perspective so should be enjoyable to all but the most cold-hearted macho types of blokes.
