(500) Days of Summer - Worth Seeing???

I love quirky American indie films like Juno, Ghost World, Election, Brick, Rushmore, Little Miss Sunshine, Orange County... And I love Zooey Deschanel. But I absolutely loathed and detested 500 Days Of Summer.:D

On lookiing at the comments and seeing that it was generally positive I decided to watch it. I must say as a guy and for a rom-com it was brilliant I think Indie may be my favourite genre. This movie was very very well done and had some brilliant moments. Like the Ikea scene for example was really well done. The dance scene as well was a stand out moment and also the whole expectations/reality scene was also very good. And also the scene where he walked down the road and it started turning into a drawing just looked spectacular. This was a real hidden gem.

It's not a rom-com at all. It has more in common with Annie Hall than Sleepless in Seattle. It's about the nature of relationships, expectations and fantasy vs. reality.

I loved this film - up there with my favourites like Nick & Norah's infinate playlist and Juno

Plus it was the very first film I watched with my OH so it has some sentimental value for me as well!
