Bearing in mind I'm a guy :D. Would you recommend this? It didn't look like a bad indie flick from the trailer the last indie film I saw was Juno which was pretty good.

I really liked it. But, I've been a huge fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt since "discovering" him via Inception so I was probably biased. I do think it's a genuinely good film, though. Tight script, nicely shot, good acting. It's not your typical slushly romcom and I think that's where most of the praise for it comes from. Worth checking out if you want a different kind of romantic movie.

I enjoyed it. In fact, I've watched it a couple of times. Great soundtrack, and it helps that I adore Zooey and Joseph.

I feel that it tries too hard to be quirky on occasions but I had really high expectations for this film so I was bound to be a tad disappointed.

I really enjoyed it. Me (a guy) and a guy friend, and a girl friend all went to see it, out of the three of us, it was the girl who liked it least.

I would describe the film as being good. As i felt there were parts of the film i willing overlooked for the sake of the film. Plus i agree with a previous poster that it tries too hard to be quirky.

I rate it 3/5

Speaking as a male who was surprised how much he enjoyed Juno, I was equally surprised how much 500 days just washed over me. It's a reasonable but unremarkable film, though a lot of people have adored it. The terrible song over the opening credits meant it didn't get off to the greatest start and I just found both lead characters very whiny and and self-centered and unappealing in that very American way.

And for a film which has had so many positive reviews for its real depiction of a relationship, the actual setting seemed no more real to me that the Hanks/Ryan cutesy comedies and their ilk. It reminded me of an American Richard Curtis film actually, right down to the "listing her old boyfrienRAB in the cafe" scene which was a direct lift from "Four Weddings and a Funeral".

The structure was interesting but there's a dreadful final joke and look into camera turns the whole thing into something resembling a shaggy dog story. If it hadn't got such glowing reviews, I'm not sure I would have been so disappointed in it.

Yes, it's worth watching and this is coming from someone who usually avoiRAB rom-coms at all costs.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is good in it (and looks good in it. :o). I will admit that he was reason for watching it in the first place.

I enjoyed it. The first and probably the only time I'll ever say that about a romcom. It does try a little too hard to be quirky in parts though. I'd give it 4 (out of 5) :)

I thought it was awful and I normally like films like this. I didn't like either of the characters and did not care about them or their relationship one bit. My face was left blank concerning the storyline as well. I gave it a good go but this is not one for me.

I quite enjoyed it but it was more like a commercial for cool headphones than a proper film. Worth seeing but not as good as it thinks it is.
