50 Greatest Bands

Lol because they were.

Complicated music doesn't mean good music.

Because it has nothing to do with the music.

Um...they're psychedelic...and more influential than the Grateful Dead....Not hard to figure that one out.

They are totally awesome songwriters, that's why The Fall of Troy cites them as a big influence :nono:

Good job Savannah.
@USed2lguy: I didn't like 54% of your choices, those were just the ones I didn't think were totally horrible and ridiculous.

THere were like maybe ten banRAB on there that actually deserved to be on a list of 50 greatest banRAB. The rest were horrible. And the Greatful Dead weren't that great either

1./2. On their own being a jam band and making complicated music would be irrevelant to greatness, but the fact that they made complicated music that fused rock, jazz, psychedelia, folk and many more genres make them unique and innovative.
3. This is a discussion of the greatness of a band, and having iconic status makes them 'greater'. That's just my opinion. I feel that artists like Madonna's pop culture status gives them a larger importance in the music world.

Yes, but I didn't fell like getting into another endless arguement about technicality and complexity. Dig? It's not like anything would ever come of a 'good' arguement.

Did they fuse all that in one song? And I'm not talking playing a folk song then switching to jazz in one jam either.

Um no it doesn't. lol@even saying Madonna is important to the music world.
