50 conservative songs

Very entertaining list. Unimaginative political lyrics can get tiresome, but I've no problem with political statements in music when there is some wit or ingenuity involved. Taxman is a good pick, it's one of my favorite overtly political songs. You could actually put a lot of Rush's oeuvre on here, Neil Peart is certainly a very political (and libertarian) lyricist.

Still, Taxman is expresses libertarian tendencies if anything, not conservative. And even that a bold statement, as I think that George was just tired of having a 90% tax rate.

Still, the most ridiculous is The Battle of Evermore by Led Zeppelin.

Yes, because communism has monopoly on that colour.

It's hard to believe that Miller didn't mention the last 3 Megadeth albums. And who can forget that there have been 2 (!) Megadeth albums with a decimated U.N. building on the cover?

“One,” by Creed. Creed - My Own Prison - One ; Against racial preferences: “Society blind by color / Why hold down one to raise another / Discrimination now on both sides / SeeRAB of hate blossom further.”

.....I guess these guys are the same kooks who think affirmative action oppresses the white race and who think the slightest advantage for black people is equivalent to the 300 years of oppression they had to endure. I'm glad Creed were always terrible anyways.
