5 year old daughter complaining that her tee tee hurts?

I looked at it a while ago and it was all red, she said that it hurts when she wipes it. Could this be yeast infection? or maybe a bladder infection? I will be bringing her to the doctor tomorrow.
she did take a 10 day course of antibiotics for strep throat.
Madison - actually she calls it her "peanut" because thats what we call it here, I do make sure that she always has clean underware on and she never wets herself, hasn't wet herself since she was 3 years old.
I'm 100% positive that noone is messing with her.
Army Wife - I knew I would get a few people to answer with that, I almost didn't even ask this question because I was scared that someone would assume something silly like that.
 
Has she been taking any antibiotics lately? If they gave her too high of a dose, it could effect her that same as it does an adult, it could give her a yeast infection. If it hurts when she goes to the bathroom it could be a UTI, which can easily be relieved with cranberry juice. But take her to the doc to be sure.
 
could be a yeast infection, bladder infection, urinary tract infection, etc. lots of explanations. good luck at the doctors!


isnt it sad how in this day and age if a little girl says her privates hurt or a little boy says his bottom hurts people jump to molestation conclusions? =( [not saying anything bad about the answer suggesting that, im just saying that its sad that those sort of things are so common now]

Well it does hurt i know that my 12 year old daughter has them all the time they are bright red and it is a yeast infection not a bladder get some a&d ointment and spread it on there and if she isnt washing or whiping good this will cause it begace all the bacteria get all up in there and it will burn and if shes isnt whiping good or washing then when she walks it will burn so bad that pain stings so take her to the doctor and get A&D OINTMENT it helps and why does she call it a tee tee??? any make sure she keep putting on clean underwear and u wash her tee tee for her and whipe for her and keep putting clean underwear on and when you put medicine on them wash it first and put new clean undies on and if she still wets herself then that will cause this to stings even worse...my daughter dosnt whipe good..this should help but see what the doctor says and get some different undies and if her undies have yellow or brown streaks where her tee tee lays then wash is with soap good and buy new underwear
 
Kids get this irritation from urine sometimes. They just don't wipe well, and their skin is more delicate than ours.

Give her a bath and put some diaper rash cream or vaseline. Neosporin works in a pinch too.

Unless you have cause to believe that anything/anyone fishy has been messing with her...
 
my daughter had this from too many bubble baths irritating her delicate skin in that area. The doctor gave her some cream and it was cleared up in a few days.
 
not yeast infection. perhaps bladder infetion. see doctor immediately.
