-Socrates( teacher to Plato, who taught Aristotle. All three men were important to higher learning in the Western world and had an school/college of learning where they were instructors.

-Julius Caesar was an officer in the Roman army who help build the Roman Republic (Something American's built their Government based on). Julius became a very important Dictator who reshaped the world. He understood that true power came from support of the people and used it. He took over more of the known world than anyone before including Alexander the great. He made the calender we still use today. He introduced Marc Anthony to Queen Cleopatra (Shakespeare wrote a book based on their love) and gave Cleopatra her thrown to Egypt. Caesar life and murder was another work by Shakespeare that is widely known. Upon this death Caesar nephew, who was his heir was named Dictator of Rome and his name was Octavianus, but we call him Auguste know. He title of the Roman leader became know as Caesar.

-Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States and one of the main writers of the Delectation of Independence. During his term as President he promoted the Lewis and Clark Expedition with the help of Sacagawea and the Louisiana purchase ( this included present-day Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, parts of Minnesota that were west of the Mississippi River, most of North Dakota, nearly all of South Dakota, northeastern New Mexico, the portions of Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado east of the Continental Divide, and Louisiana west of the Mississippi River, including the city of New Orleans). Jefferson believed in the separation of church and state. As a man he held knowledge in math, agriculture, statesman, Minister to France, architect, archaeologist, inventor, and founder of the University of Virginia.

-Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States and is well known for keeping together his presidents during the civil war, which tore out country apart. He came from very simple roots. Lincoln's parents had no education and were poor farmers in the Midwest. Lincoln went to college and became a lawyer, then a senator and later president. He gave one of the most quotable speeches in history, which was the Gettysburg Address. After freeing the slaves Lincoln was assassinated.

-Adolf Hitler is a bad man in my opinion, but he did made a significant change in world history. He was a solider in world war one and became the leader of Germany by playing on the German peoples feelings about the treaty of Versailles. With this new power he created the Nazi party. With the use of powerful propaganda brainwashed the German people into mass genocide of the Jews to create a super race. This act became know as the the Holocaust. Hitler was set on ruling the world. This is the basis of World War two.
