Ok, so we just got a new car (well, new to me atleast) and it has 4X4, our first car to have it. I live in Erie PA where alot of snow is common and having 4X4 is usefull. In the hand book it says 4X4 is only to be used on consistantly slippery or loose pavement, not to be used on dry or merely wet pavement. it goes on to say if used on dry or merely wet pavement it can damage the 4X4. To those that would know, if there is snow on the ground and the roads but not icy just snow that has been plowed but still completly white you cant see pavment is it ok to just turn the 4X4 on and leave it on when you drive or is it better to just turn it on when you might need it. thanks
