4mations.tv : new animation site

Hi everyone!
I am an animator and animation addict like many of you...so thought you might find this interesting. It's a new animation site that i'm working on http://www.4mations.tv/ and it's by Aardman, Channel 4 and Lupus Films (all of them big names so it has to be good. right?)
Any animators amongst you can upload your films and games- and have a chance to win cash prizes.
Animation fans can find all kinds of animations to watch- Weather you're into funny animation, cute animals or just weird stuff, there's a bit of everything.
This is a brand new site (it launched yesterday) so i would appreciate any feedback from you!:anime:

I think it's a wonderful idea and a great way for animator's to get their work out to the masses. It's organized well too. I've bookmarked it and look forward to watching more in the future. Good luck with it!
 
Well, technically you already can find lots of great animations on youtube....but it's an interesting idea to have it all in one site. What are the rights for uploading? You don't loose all rights once you upload something, do you?
 
The Shredder565: You are right about being able to find good animation on many sites these days...

The point of 4mations.tv is for animators themselves to upload their work, get feedback and be part of a community of animators. Unlike youtube and other sites like that, we moderate the content that goes on the site, which means that people can't steal work and upload it as their own(i've seen a lot of this happen on other sites unfortunately) and the animator gets full credit for the work.

If you upload your work on the site you keep all the rights to it and you can delete it from the site at any point if you want. The only time that this will be different is when channel4 starts paying for new work to be made for the site...in that case i think you still get credit for the animation but the rights to publish it stay with channel4.

If any of you have any comments about the website, please let me know! Anything you really like, anything you hate about it? Or just something extra you would like to see on the site that's not there already?
The official launch of the site is later this month and we are trying to get everything perfect by then! So any kind of feedback would be very appreciated!
I'll let you know when i have the date of the official launch.

I just wanted to let you know that the official launch date for www.4mations.tv is this monday 22nd of September!
Thanks to everyone who has been on the site already and given us feedback!
We have been taking in all your feedback and working on making the site better, so take a look at the new- improved site next week!
And I hope to see your work there soon! :)
