Oh my - another "top cartoons" list. Yes, I have an unhealthy fixation with these things.

Well, anyway, the list's plainly not meant to be taken remotely seriously (even though 4mations is a joint venture by several heavyweights, including Aardman, and might reasonably be expected to be a bit more scholarly), but deserves props for delving into some interested niches. Top cartoon geeks? Butters one of the sexiest characters ever?

Family Guy is NOT one of the Top 5 animated series of all time.

Why couldn't they fill up the remaining slot in the Animator category with Rob Schribner or Robert McKimmson or Genndy Tartakovsky or Hayao Miyazaki or someone?

Michael Jackson didn't technically make a cameo in The Simpsons.

Daffy isn't a top character?

Pretty strange list.
 
Neither is South Park. Heck, I haven't even heard of The Pinky & Perky Show.

Have to echo the "strange list" response. Seems like a nice effort, but these are some really pecuilar choices and catagories.
 
Keep posting them, I always find lists of this kind interesting to read, even if I don't always agree with them.

There's not much I have to say about this one that hasn't already been said by other members before me. Surely, Miyazaki merits a place among the best animators and Butters being one of the sexiest characters must be some joke, right?

I was disappointed with the "Top Villains" as well. Since the people who made this are British I would have thought that they'd include the greatest of "Wallace & Gromit" villains; the immortal Feathers McGraw.
 
The biggest list I have a controversy with is the Top 5 Musical Numbers in animation. I'm sorry, but 2 Jungle Book songs? What about songs like "I Can Show You the World"- Aladdin, "Somewhere Out There"- An American Tale, "Beauty and the Beast"- Beauty and the Beast (obviously), and "You've Got A Friend in Me"- Toy Story, all of which won awards, whereas none of The Jungle Book songs did. Most of those still air on the radio today, and I'm not referring to Radio Disney when I say that. Any of those should be ahead of anything from South Park and The Simpsons.

The list is highly biased in every category, hence why you can't do a realistic poll without polling other countries as well. I would also put Optimus Prime and Bumblebee ahead of Bender. Robot mechas continue to go crazy with series like Gundam and Aquarion as well, yet they aren't mentioned at all because I think it's supposed to be top 5 talking robots instead of top 5 robots. Clarification on what is being polled and multiple countries are a must to get a fair view of what is truly the Top 5 in every one of those categories.
 
Yeah, this was one seriously strange list. Personally, I thought that having South Park, Family Guy and Simpsons being in most of the lists was a bit much. I know that these shows have a strong following, but having them on so many of these lists seems like they're only doing that because of how most people would recognize them. The sexiest cartoon characters was also kind of weird. I mean, I'm a heterosexual girl and all, but I didn't think that the majority of people see Minnie Mouse as sexy at all. The mere thought of it feels weird alone. I did kind of agree with the best animators and most of the feature films, even those also could have had a couple of different films in there.

Yea that was well thought out, not! I think that these are based off popularity rather than quality.

Top Animators

Matt Groening animates? Well judging by Futurama and the Simpsons he's not very diverse.

Top 5 Celebrity Cameos in Animation

Is this even neccesary?

Top 5 Animated Characters

Shouldn't Felix be on top? Then Mickey and Bart? And does Baloo account for his Disney clones too?

Top 5 Sexiest Animated Characters

This list is kinda weird though slightly more meaningful than the cameo category.

Top Animated Commercials

Whoever made this list probably hasn't seen too many classic ads.

I like that these "tops" were catagorized but whover made the lists seem to like Family Guy a bit which kinda makes me feel that this list is a little biased.
