I have a 8 month old kitten, Sophie, whom I've had since she was just 8 weeks old. I adopted her and her sister May-Belle together, they were very close. About a month ago though, May-Belle accidentally got out of the house (my cats are strictly indoor) and despite doing everything we could to find her, we never did (we think she was stolen). Sophie was very upset and moping around the house for days, and we decided it would be in her best interest to adopt another kitten. We did, a 4 month old half Siamese, Eleanor. Eleanor seemed like a great pet at first towards humans, and we weren't expecting her to get along with Sophie right away, but we figured they would warm up to each other. At first they avoided each other, with the occasional spat here and there. Since then, Sophie has warmed up to Eleanor, and wants to play, gets close to her, etc., but Eleanor acts very aggressively, and even walks up to Sophie just to attack her. I wasn't really expecting this considering she is young. Eleanor has grown more and more temperamental towards not only Sophie but also to me and other people, I was just patting her 5 minutes ago and she actually yowled and bit me aggressively (definitely not playfully). I'm not sure what is going on here, I love her to death because she's beautiful and at times is very sweet, but I'm worried because now that she's settling in her behavior is going down hill. Is it because she is part Siamese? I'm really not sure how to explain it, any help and what can I do to help her behave better?
