4Kids TV to Premiere Season 5 of "TMNT" February 9th

They might not be in the know like we are, so it won't be their fault.

Good news either way though. I was thinking February 16. "Race For Glory" and "Head of State" will be airing this morning, and "DNA is Thicker Than Water" and "The Cosmic Completist" will air on February 2. Maybe "The Day of Awakening" and "Zixxth Sense" will air on the same day season 5 starts.

It's odd that they're saying 13 episodes though, since only 12 made the final cut.

perhaps they'll air "Insane in the Membrane"
I've not watched for some time, they haven't already aired it, have they?

I know they ran "Membership Drive" a few months ago. I suppose I'll have to have the old man tape these for me. I've moved and have not had the time or sources to purchase a tv.

I think they keep them right next to that Disney vault we hear so much about (I wonder how many adults are dumb enough to believe that).

Anyway, if you remember they used the same marketing for when they aired "Membership Drive" last year and for a few episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! as well. Vaults are like cool and stuff.

A promo for the episodes can be seen in Youtube; I don't know if it's the same one on 4kids.tv--I think it is--but you can check it out here. It's the typical "epic" trailer, but it's nice to see 4Kids at least make the effort.

Random fun fact: During a round-table discussion last year, the VA's for the turtles discussed the Lost Season for a bit, saying that working on the season sometimes made felt like extras in their own show. Check the first part of the (really quite fun) discussion here.

I just realized...The Lost Season will probably air at 10 AM, which means it'll be going up against The Spectacular Spider-Man.

Hmm, I wonder how this will turn out...

4Kids may not be the best dubbing company around, but man if they don't make extremely awesome promos. That was all kinds of awesome sauce. And as someone whose never seen these episodes before, it looks all the more awesome.

Which original air dates do you think matters most though? The day some of these episodes were first available on Comcast (a service not available to everyone) or the dates when they'll premiere on 4Kids?

The only ep listed on the actual Ninja Turtles site that won't air is "Nightmares Recycled". If you see the description, you'll know why. Other than that, it's the other twelve and the Ninja Tribunal ep from Season 4 which takes place after Good Genes Part 2.

Hey, when I was their age back when the first series was on, I believed the spin about the 'lost' episodes that aired in Syndication. 13 or so eps that had PeKing Turtle, Super Hero For a Day, and what not..

Of course, now I know that those shows where produced to give the syndication networks a bunch of new episodes to air and it kept them happy :).

And I really don't see what the problem was. I mean, if they where joined at the stomach or something, you have one shot of it to explain in the form of a flashback, say they got separated and boom, done. I'm also glad that DNA is Thicker than Water will be re-airing. That's the only one that I wasn't able to properly tape off the Fox HD feed yet. The show really does look great in HD.

Oh, and Ian, glad you liked the video. That little panel was the most fun comic con panel I ever had the pleasure of taping :).

Maybe they'll air Insane in the Membrane, maybe they won't. Maybe 4Kids funded the making of Nightmares Recycled, maybe they didn't. I'm pretty interested in seeing what this "13th" episode is unless Eric Stuart flubbed the announcement or 4Kids is just being naive that there are 13 episodes.

By the way, did anyone else just laugh out loud at the scene where the "4Kids" building just blew up?

Did you happen to see the Turtles promo that aired at 8:00am? I never knew the Turtles were closet Winx Club fans (too funny)! Not sure if they showed it again later in the day. I don't know why they don't upload these other oddball promos onto youtube.

I'd hope, by thirteen, they mean that the season 4 finale will air again. It'd be too confusing to start on the second episode of the arc.

For "Nightmares Recycled", the script was done and they did start work on it, but Fox deemed it too disturbing to be aired. Similar to how they didn't show "Insane in the Membrane", yet other countries aired it.

Yeah, but Insane in the membrane actually got made into a full episode just never aired. The way everyone's talking, Nightmares Recycled never got past scriptwork.

Unless, I'm reading these posts wrong.

The "13 episodes" probably means they're going to re-air the last episode of Season 4 as the beginning of this arc since it was a lead-in.

"Nightmare Recylced" never had finished animation. Its an incomplete episode and I don't think they finished the voices for it either. Its just in storyboard form.

That was an awesome trailer. Everything about it was just so cool and it definitely shows some real good effort on 4Kids' part on making the lost episodes seriously intense. The trailer was just made of epic win. Now, I'm looking foreword to seeing the episodes even more.

I was glad to see the promo this morning since I'm getting tired of hearing nothing but Fast Foreward on their lineup. I agree with ASAYLM on how they could have chosen Fast Foreward over these episodes, considering how terrific they look like from the promos alone. But I'm just happy that they will air these episodes. One other thing that's fun is how these new episodes start on my birthday. Looks like I have another show, the first being a new GX episode, to look foreward to seeing on the morning of my birthday. Yes! I'm so happy that my birthday falls on a Saturday this year.
