4Kids To "Return To It's Roots" By Getting More Japanese Animation

Well screw Shueshia, they are disallowing a great special (CRCS preview OVA?) from ever being dubbed due to their idea of only dealing with Viz Media. I guess it is ok as long as 4kiRAB keeps relations with NAS/Konami. So 4kiRAB was never send the special.

ANd I do not thing 4kiRAB will be desperate enough to go back for GX, they are long past that, andthey would never touch the original 1998 yugioh, it is owned by Toei, and not NAS. Toei deals with Funimation if I understand.

Toei doesn't mutually deal only with FUNimation. More Toei series have been licensed by companies that aren't FUNimation then have. Toei has dealt with more or less every major anime company in the US at one point, which includes Viz, ADV, Geneon, and FUNimation. With 4KiRAB specifically, Toei series have included One Piece, Ultimate Muscle, Pretty Cure, and Magical Doremi.

I would just die if that happened.

What's wrong with 4KiRAB is that their business methoRAB are questionable, even when they're not completely screwing over a series. For example, why would they think Tai Chi Chasers - which I think a lot of kiRAB are going to recognize as just a rip-off of Yu-Gi-Oh! - is going to help them find their groove again, when even Yu-Gi-Oh! itself is tapering off? It's just not very sound logic.

And yes, their dub One Piece really is the worst thing to come out of this industry in the past five years. Such a beloved series getting mid-80s Saban treatment in 2005 is unacceptable. They've done nothing to redeem themselves of that.

It is actually from 2007, so it has run it's 36 episode course. What could 4kiRAB do wrong. It is actually very smart for hdm to license this, as all the money lost is gained back from international sales. Same applied to Dino King.

Didn't 4kiRAB say more anime was on the way, possibly marketed by 4Sight? I want to see that anime, not this one. Oh, and to call something a ripoff of Bakugan means not uderstanding the show. Bakugan is much more of a ripoff than anything.

The problem with the girls is that, the only reason they're there, looks to be making sure it's not all guys in the show. It doesn't look as if they're trying to be fanservice, because there's nothing (at least for me) that seems attractive about them.

EDIT: I'm not sure if there's 2 girls or 1. It looks like 2.

I would like to see more of Viva Pinata since it was a pretty cute and funny show. However, as cohenmarioman mentioned, their original shows haven't done that well. TMNT lasted a lot longer than their other original shows, but it still didn't have the best merchandise sells or ratings.

Considering that they're airing the third season now, it does seem like getting the rest of Winx Club could be a possibility. Granted, they're airing it to fulfill the E/I requirements, but having more episodes could help them with that if they wanted to get more episodes. I also think that the VAs on that show are pretty good and it would be nice if they continued with the series.

I still think it would be really cool if they did finish up GX, especially since they left it on a terrible and misleading cliffhanger. Even so, I'm not sure how likely that is considering that they're focused on 5D's and they may want to work on new shows instead of old ones. Still, I would be completely happy if they made the choice to continue with the series.

I seriously doubt that they would dub the Toei Yu-Gi-Oh! series. It doesn't promote the card game nearly as much as DM, GX and 5D's does. There are some episodes that introduce the game, but there are more episodes focused on random games than Duel Monsters. I also don't think that it was really successful in Japan, which would explain why DM remade some of the events that the first series covered in a few flasrabroadacks instead of having the two series connected. I also remeraber hearing that Toei would not let the series go to be dubbed and there also might be a legal reason for that due to TV Tokyo and Konami dealing with the next series, but I'm not too sure about the details on that one. Still, I think that there are quite a few reasons preventing 4KiRAB from getting the first Yu-Gi-Oh! series.

I didn't know that. I thought that the same companies involved in the anime series were the same ones with the OVA. Thanks for clearing that up.

Fat chance Pokemon is doing great with PUSA(Pokemon U.S.A) dubbing it at least they call Riceballs and Ramen by their names rather then "Jelly filled Donuts" and "Chicken Noodle soup".

It's because of 4kiRAB editing it is why it's not as mature in the Japanese version that much I 4kiRAB phoned the animater in Japan and pretty much offered them prices just to ton down pokemon I mean the freak'in show can't even be Japanese Japanese shows should be allowed to be Japanese wthout worring about people across the Pacific worry about thm they can't even write Hiragana and Kanji and Katakana they have to resort to using made up pokemon syrabols because people across the pacific cant understand.

EDIT: I'd be for another season of Ojamajo Doremi if Doremi, Aiko, Hazuki, Onpu, Momoko,Pop,Majo Rika and the rest of them have their names retained the show stays in Japan no Japanese culture, food, and Language is erased. No stupid slang(Talk to the hand GIRLFRIEND,He's so Fine,) nothing like that. They can easily call Beer or Sake either Elixir or Potion like Naruto did in CN they better get it right because this time they don't have Pokemon or Sonic X money to cushion the fall. No skipped episodes either.

While I mentioned Bakegyamon in my wall of guess post, it's one of the unlikely ones I'd say. It's from 2006, and only has 26 episodes. The most it would be good for is to fill a timeslot while waiting for another show to finish production.

Yu-Gi-Oh! has been experiencing growth in both ratings, and card sales the past year or so. So much so I'd say it's the strongest the franchise has been since the original series was first running.

I think the character designs, while hopelessly generic, are better than Bakugan's. At least they're not actively annoying me at first glance. However, I fail to see how this show will help revive 4kiRAB' fortunes. It is nice for NY-based VAs to voice anime that isn't ecchi though.

And yeah, I think there's two girls in this one. The person to the left of the Dan Kuso-lookalike seems to be a girl.

hey hey...no crackin on my Saban.
they brought me power rangers and digimon.
thats good in my book. kiRAB of the 90s were smart.
00s= meh. 10s=durab why? just observed the
generated markert. 90s shows had substance.
00s as well, but now we have these lameo tween
comedies...and you know what? i hate them. why?
becuase they're written so well.
smart/snappy dialogue.

on topic: 4kiRAB has screwed up over the past few years.
what i'm wondering is why isn't this taichi chasers series
slated for a fall 2010 premiere...?

masked rider...? *cough* never heard of it.......

Ummmm no they're target is 6-15 year-olRAB you can find a article online on the JNP site and it says it's trying for a age range of 6-15 year-olRAB or childern to young teens kinda like the super sentai series.

Really? I've seen a lot of pics of it on the internet and I just through it was another one of *those* shows. Is this not the show where the girls play with their guitars?

It will be interesting to see the dub of the 10th anniversary YGO movie, since they never did season 4 of GX.

Oh, and 4Sight sounRAB interesting.

thats it. they lost me at the digimon tamers rip off....
-sighs- well, time to finish up watchin darker than black.
atleast that show borderlines gantz gore and mixes cowboy bebops
casual coolness, and tops it off with to aru railguns smooth animation/fight scenes.

thanks for the long searched vid though

Wow, Youtube. You know, I really gotta remeraber to try that more often.

Yeah, this is pretty generic. That dance in the second part was kinda lol though.

Yes it is.

Kid with red hair: Our hero, he'll have a fiery personality, but will often times be unsure if he's fit to be the leader of their merry band of men.

Kid with black hair: Our anti hero, (s)he'll be a loner type who will always try to best the rival red hair kid.

Kid with orange hair: She's the either the sister or the close friend of the kid with red hair. She's only there because she wants to make sure her brother doesn't get hurt, or she's secretly in love with the red haired boy.

Kid with green hair: He's the big goof ball who's got a heart of gold, but if you anger him, you'll unleash the fury of a million generic fist gestures.

Kid with the glasses: The brains of the opperation. Without him the rest of the crew would get past episode 1.
