Previously on 'Winx Club'... the girls figure out that since both Bloom and Baltor are powered by the Dragonfire, that if they find a sure-fire way to defeat Bloom, the same measure can be applied to beating Baltor. And that's where Tecna comes in with the idea to locate the Waterstars. Which can only be found in a place called the Golden Kingdom.

But the 'search' party had a stowaway... a stalking stowaway! Ophir's back, and still trying to win Layla's heart. And... succeeding somewhat, as he helps the gang get out of some sticky situations with the realm's monsters. But maybe getting a little too helpy, as Riven suddenly shows up... and sees Ophir holding an unconscious Musa in his arms.

Uh-oh!

This Week's Poll: Which pixie helped their fairy grow the most? Simple question... which pixie has meant the most to their respective Winx girl's development (regardless of it being in romance, opening a character's past, or changing a character for the better)?

Only five episodes remain! Will the show hit it's high stride again, or will it coast to the finale? Hoping for the former!

augh, geez, i missed the episode, can someone here fill me in on what happened?

EDIT:well, the first 15 minutes of it that is...

Next week, I'll FINALLY get to hear Baltor's announcement while he was in Magix. When YTV aired the ep, they had technical problems during that part and the other one where the staff at Alfea have a meeting.

We find out the fate of Bloom's parents, or at least what Bloom thinks happened to them from Baltor. However it ends up being a lie when she asks the Ancient Coven, and they tell her the REAL truth. Oh, and I believe that Layla and Nabu/Ophir's arranged marriage is called off in either this ep or the next.

Here are my thoughts on this ep:

1. Well, continuing where we left off last time, Ophir & Riven patched up their differences quick, regardless that they almost killed each other over a misunderstanding. Also, after she recovered, although I AM happy that Musa forgave Riven, I think that happened a little too quick, IMO. Oh, well.:)

2. I was just as disappointed as Bloom was when she couldn't miniaturize herself like the others.

3. Sky's speech to Bloom about that "love spell" & Diaspro was kinda unnecessary.

4. Well, we learned a bit more about Ophir in that he grew up lonely just like Layla. I think they would make a great couple!:D

5. Inside the labyrinth, I did get a little emotional when Tecna, Stella, & Musa were willing to give up the things they loved to save everyone! Talk about "paying the ultimate price!":( :ack: :(

6. I liked how the boys battled the Trix and then saved each other in Stormy's tornado.:D I also loved how the girls used convergence to blow away the Trix when Icy made Bloom powerless! Nice teamwork!:D

This was a really great ep! 4 stars!:D I can't wait to see the big battle at Cloud Tower next week! Don't miss it!;) :D

This was an alright episode, I was hoping for more detail on the council's backgrounds but w/e. I'm glad the writers didn't make the girls go look for one water star each episode but let them have it all at once. Looking for to next week with the whole Baltor thing.

4.5/5

*laughs* What was UP with Riven and Ophir staring dreamily into each other's eyes when Ophir was talking about how he grew up?

And yes, this was a good episode. But Techna said it best during the how Maze segment. Those were some CRUEL, harsh choices. I understand that the elders needed to to be SURE the girls had good intentions, but wow. That was pretty mean.

ESPECIALLY in Musa's case.

At it was even worse when the Elder was like "Techna, we don't like you as a computer." *change* "Stella, you can have your face back." *change* "Oh, but Musa? Yeah, you're screwed. Hope you enjoyed seeing your mom for 15 seconds." Cold. Real cold.

But Stella's "plain" face was pretty amusing.

Cold, yes, but appropriate given Musa's devotion towards her long lost mom was the most important thing about her character. To be fair, though, unlike Tecna's logic and Stella's vanity, Musa had 'given up' (for lack of a better term) her mom long ago, not when she tried to exit the maze. It's a bittersweet moment for Musa, but an appropriate one. Her mom will live on in her heart, anyway.

And it would've been fun to see Stella have to keep her plain face. After all, it's easier on the animators... they wouldn't have to do face expressions - and she took the cake when it came to those in this show. :p

Not much to say on the rest of the episode. The Ophir-Riven misunderstanding got wrapped up really quickly, and any excuse to push Bloom out of the spotlight battle is a good thing.

Still fun, though.

"The Crystal Labyrinth": 3.5/5.
