It's been 77 episodes and 3 and 1/4 years. They've cheered. They've laughed. They've fallen in love. They've had their hearts broken. And mended. They've groaned. They've breathed sighs of relief. They've been pushed to the brink of elimination many times. And they've survived all their encounters.

But only one being stands in the way of a happy ending for the girls who've affectionately dubbed themselves the Winx Club.

His name... is Baltor.

On the penultimate episode of 'Winx Club'... Baltor unleashed the Spell of the Elements in order to tear apart the realm and get rid of Bloom and the girls once and for all. To add more misery to the fire, he also revealed his true form! But not even a paltry assist from Icy, Darcy, and Stormy could help Baltor overlook his overconfidence and fall to our heroines.

Everyone's celebrating Baltor's long-awaited defeat at last, but Bloom's being the 'common duh sense' one for once, realizing it may not be over just yet...

This Week's Poll: Will be posted sometime on Sunday. The nominations are still coming in, and as the series official wraps up, it's time to pick your favorite all-time moment. If you still wanna throw in a nomination, you've got until 4 pm EST Sunday! And don't forget, when the poll goes up, to do the most important thing! Vote!

It's been a ride that's coming to an end at last. It's been like any 4Kids' dub... some good dubbing decisions, a bunch more questionable ones. And then there's the case of the original Italian writers and their decisions.

I can't believe it's over, if only because 'Winx Club' was the first show I did regular talkbacks for. And I've done pretty much all of them (save for a few here and there that I had to miss for various reasons). From the wonders of Bloom vs. the Trix in Season 1 and everything since, it's been an unbelievable ride. Shame this series didn't evolve as much as it needed to as it went along. The first season looks poised to remain as my favorite of the three, given the multiple missteps of the second and third.

And so, (unless 4Kids does pick up the movie) this is the farewell talkback for Bloom, Stella, Flora, Tecna, Musa, Layla, and the rest of the gang. And thanks to all of you fellow 'Winx' fans for sharing the fun the past 3+ years.

For the last time in a 'Winx Club' series talkback... enjoy!

(Addendum: Apparently, there's also now a 'Winx Club Movie Speculation Thread.' As such, if you gotta talk about theories in detail about the upcoming movie, please take it to that thread!)

Sayonara Winx Club, you've given us a reason to watch 4KidsTV...

And as usual, im watching this episode, and im going feel like myself on September 4th, 2004... AGAIN!

BTW: Nice Stella Avatar Freedom Fighter...

4K!dsTV Talkback: Winx Club SERIES FINALE "Fire and Flame" (Spoilers)

How about Dinosaur King, Viva Pi?ata, and reruns of Sonic X, TMNT: Fast Forward, and Yu-Gi-Oh GX?

The finale was anti-climatic. The ending was a bit too open. No appearance of Bloom's parents made this episode not even worth while. A little bit of nitpicks I have:

*The little rabbit that Bloom carried around since season 1: not funny. Trying to please Bloom while she thinks that Baltor wasn't dead was just completely so unfunny, I never had a smile on my face when he came on.
*All of the girls having boyfriends. Never have I seen a finale that's been repeated for the past two seasons.Wish that Layla stayed single because she really didn't have to follow the crowd with the rest of the "Club".
*Baltor transforming into a monster: another typical yawn. I felt like I was watching the defeat of Lord Darkar all over again. The battle was too quick and very anti-climatic. I hate to say this but am I'm the only one who thought that Bloom should've died while defeating Baltor just because of the fact that she wasfighting to defend her hionor for the sake of seeing her parents again?

All in all, this finale wasn't as good as season one's nor the upcoming English dub of the CGI Barbie movie look-a-like film that will, hopefully, be releashed in the United States. 4K!d$ shouldn't give up this last chance to redeem themselves and to make money of what's left of the Winx Club franchise even though it was dying due to poor toy and dvd sales.

Before I begin, I wanna say that I really have enjoyed myself these past three years commenting on this great show!:D It feels like only yesterday that I made my first comments in the "Spelled" ep of Season 1, which is still one of my all-time favorite eps today!:D

Well, enough reminiscing! Without further ado, here are my thoughts on this final episode:

1. I liked how Flora & Layla used water/nature convergence to revive the forest.:) I also liked when Musa used her flute to call back the animals.:)

2. I felt it was cute seeing Kiko playing "air-guitar" to get Bloom's attention!:anime:

3. Interesting plot: Baltor has kidnapped the RF boys and it's up to the girls to save them and stop Baltor once and for all. Just one problem, he still has the "Spell of Elements!" If that doesn't make a good plot, I dunno what does!

4. Wouldn't you know that Baltor would use the "elements" to create monstrous clones of the RF boys?! How cruel!!!:crying: Plus, the girls' Enchantix powers had no effect on them! At least, thankfully, Bloom realized if she couldn't defeat a fiery clone of Sky, she had to defeat the person who caused it: Baltor!!!:D I call that good logic!:)

5. I thought that was a good attempt of the girls using convergence on Baltor's demonic form. However, it was Bloom herself who saved the day by going inside Baltor and using all of her "dragon fire" power to defeat him!!! I know it might not have been much of a fight, but Baltor trying to talk Bloom into joining him to go after the Enchantresses and Bloom sort of saying, "Take a Hike!", is ok with me.:D

6. I thought that was very touching moment with Sky & Bloom.:)

7. I thought it was funny seeing little Kiko imitate Baltor being defeated!:anime:

I thought this was a good ending! I give it 4 stars! Now everyone, let's all hope we get the "Secrets of the Lost Kingdom" movie!:)

I'd like to say one last thing in closing: Thanks Winx Club, for everything!!! Especially you, Flora! You'll always be my favorite Winx fairy!;) :anime:

Yeah, I do enjoy watching Dinosaur King, Viva Pinata, TMNT: FF, and GX, as well as the Winx Club. Before my review, I've noticed that I've been lately doing reviews for series finales of some of my favorite shows. Weird, but okay.

I thought that this was a pretty nice episode. I did enjoy how Flora and Layla healed the forest, while Musa brought back all the animals. Baltor kinapping all of the boyfriends was an interesting twist and an even better twist was having those clones of their boyfriends. It makes sense how Bloom defeated all of them by hitting Baltor like that. She has been the only one to have made any damage on him. My guess is it is because of how she has the dragon fire, as well as being the main character.

The way Bloom defeated Baltor was intense. I wouldn't expect her to actually go inside of him to defeat Baltor. She did seem really intense as they were fighting. Yeah, I really did like the Bloom and Sky moment and how he was crying when he thought she died. And then he looked so happy when Bloom woke up. I'm such a softie and a hopeless romatic when I see stuff like that.

My main problem with the episode was the ending. It seemed pretty weak since we just see Bloom feeling that she'll see her birth parents soon, which is probably a good guess. Maybe I would have liked it better if all of the girls and their boyfriends got together again like they did in the other finales. I just kind of like those moments and it does bring on a certain togetherness feeling to it. Besides, like I said, I'm a sofie when I see stuff like that. Or at least something more than Bloom's birth parents showing up in the fireworks.

Well, it has been a very interesting and fun series and I do hope that 4Kids does plan on doing something with the movie. It would be a shame if they didn't dub it and release in in the US. Hopefully that would have a more satified ending for me. An ending with a good sense of conclusion would be wonderful. Overall, a nice episode. Starting next week, there won't be anything on, for me at least, until 8:30 when they air the GX repeats.

And yes, there is a film in production comming your way soon in italia, and hopefully in the states soon enough...

But i'll save that for this thread. (in which all Winx fans should check up on and visit sometime!)

As for the episode, bravo, the folks at Rainbow outdone themselves this time, from beginning to end, this was a great episode.

I will give this series finalie a 5/5, and the series 10/10... can't wait for the movie sometime soon...

now there is no reason to watch 4KidsTV anymore.... well, with the exception of Dinosaur King...

Next Week: Great Challenges and Epic Adventures Await as a competition like no other sets forth, We call this thing: The Adrenaline Project... (but i'll save that for later...)

Eh, I don't really have anything to add. This ep had some good moments, but overall, it's a lackluster ending to a lackluster season. It feels like Rainbow concentrated all their talents on the movie and gave us a bunch of badly-written, trite episodes that are frustrating because they could have been so much more.

Something I plan to do sometime is map out what I would have done with Season 3. I know a couple other fans over in LJ land that are going to do the same.

I hope the movie is more enjoyable than Season 3 has been. I feel like it's got to be. All the writing talent we used to see had to go somewhere.

4K!dsTV Talkback: Winx Club SERIES FINALE "Fire and Flame" (Spoilers)

Enjoyable enough, yet still wreaks of odd-time planning and plotting by the writers.

From the obvious 'Baltor's definitely not dead yet' to an open ending that was far too open. In the midst of it all, the writers reminded us how close Flora and Layla are, that Kiko the Rabbit is the original cutie of the series, and the boyfriends are still the 'damsels in distress.' And those were the good points.

But on that last point... Baltor's final gambit is to draw the girls out by stealing their boyfriends? Okay, granted last season's finale was everyone trying to rescue the dark-spelled Bloom, but that's different. (And more on that shortly.) That being said, when the girls actually walked into the 'trap,' the final battle produced great spurts of fun. Spurts, because all though the battle was good, it seems the writers put a whole bunch of ideas together that are fine individually, but weren't really cohesive together. From the individual battles, to Bloom's out-of-the-blue tracking Dragonfire blast, to Baltor's connection to the Ancestral Witches, to the showdown inside Baltor's body. Like I said, a good deal entertaining, but the flow was seriously stilted between sections.

I mean, I liked Bloom's tracking blast. I was surprised that Baltor was working under the 'guidance' of the Ancestral Witches - not in a lackey sense, but in a 'we want you to shove the flow of destiny this way' sense. And Bloom transporting her Dragonfire soul into Baltor's beastly body for the final showdown. A big 'wha?' moment, but it does provide a decent Bloom-Baltor duel to wrap it all up.

And then quicker before one could snap his fingers, it was over. Could it be... that the writers realized they were just about out of time in terms of episode length? The ending made that obvious. Celebration, we see Layla and Nabu having a moment, then Faragonda congratulating Bloom and that she may be strong enough now to force the location of her parents out of the Ancestral Witches - even with her Enchantix incomplete.

And that's it.

Yes, that's it. I mean, I know the movie's coming (and it was probably in production already when production on this episode wrapped), but this finale did two things: finish off Baltor, and insinuate the Bloom's parents' thread will be finished in the movie. Other than the Layla-Nabu moment, no updates on the romances of the other couples? No fond farewell/reflection from the cast? I would've expected better.

Oh, right. The pacing for the second half of this season was crap.

And back to that final battle... though entertaining, even last season's finale was a whole lot better than this one despite the clich? Darkar's actions. And I keep kicking myself for originally complaining about the Season 1 finale being lacking, since the Bloom-Icy battle outside of Alfea now stands out as one of the best, if not the best, bouts of the series. And, in turn, many times more intense and intriguing.

Blame the monotony. Blame the repetitiveness. Blame it on the writers.

Then again, it's apparently hard for these European shows to evolve as they age. Is it too hard to ask for the writing to keep getting better as new villains and new powers come along? Apparently so.

Anyway, I've ranted enough. After all, I've been doing it too much this season.

"Fire and Flame": 3/5.
"Winx Club" Season 3: 2.5/5.

I like you. I like you a lot. Until now, I thought I was the only one who hated the 'pair up or be worthless' undercurrent and Kiko's time-wasting frolics.

I haven't had a chance to watch the whole finale, but once I saw it was open-ended, I couldn't help but lose my enthusiasm. Way to force us into watching a movie that I'm not sure will ever see a stateside release, people. Even if 4Kids ended it with Bloom making peace with the fact she hasn't found her parents but they're there in spirit, it would've been okay.

Not really. I was always opposed to the 'every girl had to have a guy' mentality. It was sad when the writers forced it on Flora in Season 2 while Layla became the single girl. It was downright maddening when they presented the whole 'arranged marriage' bit for Layla this season - especially for her penchant for not liking guys too much when we first met her at Season 2's start.

I mean, it just screamed too much of a 'happy ending,' for goodness sakes.

And there goes the series. Although being the show kind of ended, It doesnt feel like I'm gonna be missing anything. In my opinion, the whole series started out very strong. It was my #1 series. But as the series went on, the show fell to crap and ended weak. But that's just my opinion. I was basically only watching to see how everything ended. But if the movie hits the states, i'll definately be watching it, because it looks to be interesting.

When the show first started, i loved kiko, But i couldnt stand him in the final episode.

Agreed. I think that was my main problem with the ending, other than the fact that it was much too open for an ending. We don't really see much of the other characters together, besides Layla and Nabu, and we don't even see any of the girls together for that long. I definately would have prefered all of the characters being together, even though I know there's going to be a movie. Bloom's battle with Baltor was kind of quick, in retrospect, but I think the writers gave her that main character clause that allows her to do a lot of things quick and powerful like that.

As for the second half of this season, you're right. For me, the episode quality went down hill after episode 17 of this season. It might have went up and down before and after that as well. Overall, I prefer the second and first season over most of the second half of season three. Like I said before, I'm hoping that when the movie comes out in the states, and I'm sure that it will at some point, that it will give a much better conclusion to the story.
