4cl mercury engine spitting oil out of the breather what is going on?

i have a inboard 4cl mercury mercruzer engine in a rinker boat my bulge pump burnt out and the engine got flooded up the valves in water. It set for 4 months, i started it up for a few min. when i gave it gas water mixed oil came shooting out of the breather i am changing the oil today but why would it be doing that
