Hello, I have a question about my 4000watt amplifier I just recently bought. So the amp came with two 35A fuses, I thought to myself well that's a decent size fuse. So after I install the amplifier to my car, with 4 gauge power and ground wire. I put on some rap music (juice box) because I'm pushing three 15" sub woofers. And not even cranking the amp halfway the fuses blow on the amplifier. Not on the power wire, on the amplifier. Everyone tells me its because I am not putting enough power into the amp and that is why it keeps blowing but I'm not sure about their opinion.

ok a 4000watt with just two 35amp fuses? its not 4000watts cause i have a 2400watt amp and it has 4 30amp fuses. a true 4000watt wil need 300amp fuse on it. just like the kicker 2500 and the hifonics collossus they both take 300amp fuses. ok thats that. now amps will blow the fuses if ur not getting enough power but i mean you have to be like 10.0volts to do somethin lik that on big amps.. you should upgrade ur battery to a yellow top and mayb upgrade your alternator too. and see what happens. if it still blows then its a short in the amp. because once you pop those fuse it damages the amp and it will keep blowing them. unless there the wrong size fuses i say try putting 40amp fuses in and see if it blows then. and if that happens on two 40amp fuses then yes its a short in the amp and you need a new amp. hopefully this helps
