40% of Americans Still Believe In Creationism..how about OT

Classification is arbitrary, there is no absolute right or wrong answer about how far into the past you must go before our ancestors were no longer "human"... Sure, at some point in the past our ancestors are no longer defined as homo sapien sapien, but again, that classification is largely arbitrary.

This poll kind of makes me sad seeing how out of touch with reality OT is.

edit: Wasn't this poll public before? ))(( and lukkie I'm looking at you.

Maybe, but I don't think the majority of people have very strong convictions either way. I think you'd poll a lot of 'don't know/don't care'

The oldest people today live to be over a hundred. That doesn't mean everyone lives to be over 100. Some people grow to be 7' tall. That doesn't mean everyone grows to be 7' tall. Lastly... I thought that evolution theory of yours included bursts of extreme change?

actually, we (people who understand evolution or study evolution) do know that humans evolved, just as much as we know the earth moves around the sun
sorry you cant play the "we dont know" card... just because you personally dont understand evolution doesn't mean it is some nebulous, equivocal idea
