I saw a woman in the grocery store paying her groceries with food stamps and texting on her iphone. Priorities, son.
 
i don't disagree with you, doesn't mean people don't do it.

just like it's fraud to make 15k in "cash" and not claim it, thus being eligible for food stamps/etc.
 
Yeah I've heard of people doing that...refusing to take more hours at their waiter or whatever job because then they'll make too much money.

And yeah, committing crimes will get you kicked off too. The other thing is, the government is willing to spend like 40% more than market rent for places, at least in Minneapolis.

As far as effectiveness of government welfare programs goes, Section 8 is probably one of the better ones.
 
I fucking wish I could get food stamps. I would save so much damn money. Too bad I work for a living.
 
i blame my mother for my hard working ethic. i would feel like a fucking failure if i were to receive food stamps/welfare/gov help. its bullshit.
