I had mine pulled a couple of summers ago. I woke up about 5 minutes after the surgery and I was extremely loopy. My mouth was full of gauze pads and the taste of blood was imminent. After I got my bearings, my mother took me to Wal-Mart to pick up my prescription of penicillin. Still a little groggy, I decided to stay in the car and put my seat back. Bad idea. My nose clogged up immediately, and with all that blood in my mouth, I couldn't really breathe. So I opened the door, tipped my head out, and just opened my mouth, letting the blood flow out without me using any other muscles to spit it. Funny thing was, an elderly woman was exitting her vehicle about 3 spots away on the other side and saw everything. She looked like she saw a ghost. So we got home, I got rid of the gauze and watched TV for a while. To be honest, it only sucked for a couple days. Don't sweat it man, it's not all that bad.
You want pain, try getting a cavity filled and the doctor drill straight through your root. THAT'S pain, my friend.
