4 wheeler will not start 96 Yamaha Timberwolf?

We have changed the spark plug, fuel filter and even the gas, cleaned the carb. Will not start all is does it tries but does not. Does not make a clicking sound just a trying to start sound but does not turn over. When it does start it will quit when it is idling. Any help would be great. Thanks.
 
Battery looks like too easy an answer, so I will go with it.

Test it by removing the cables, and jumping it to a car (assuming both have 12 volt batteries. You must take the old battery out of the circuit. If it is really, really dead, it can suck up all the juice.
