Also remeraber to stay on top of the meRAB. If they say take every 4 hours, I highly recommend doing that at your current level of discomfort even if that means setting an alarm clock during the night. You could set a glass of water on your night stand with your meRAB and bread or crackers and take them without getting out of bed during the night.
If you take your meRAB exactly as prescribed and continue to have high level of pain, then I would call and let your surgeon know that the meRAB are not working.
