3M Tank Protector

i've got the 3m on the tricolore. Some yellow bugs got squashed on the front and i didn't wash them straight away and now they have seemed to soak into the film, now i cant get it out. I talked to the installer and they advised when new to coat it a few times with polish and the like to stop this. wish they told me that in the first place....On the tank its worked beautifully

Well, it did its job. Bugs are terrible. I drove to my house in PA at night and when I got there, I felt like hosing myself down in the middle of the night before I took my gear off.

I went with about 75% coverage with Clear-Bra which is a 3M product. You can even get it in different thickness.. Prof installed, they have computers they share cut-outs info on line.. Mine I did full tank, leading edges of fairings and front fender & headlights, complete tail peice as it seemed every once in awhile I would nick it with either boot or knee puck.. Found this is a must to keep your paint in shape as So.Cal canyons have lots of fine little rocks that either you kick up or guy in front of you throws back at you..

Course, then you wad your bike up and it's a moot point any way's. Does make it easier to pick up your peices tho... The clear tape holds alot of the little bits together..

I have the 3M stuff on my 1098S. I got the full kit and I installed everything except the front fairing cover. It is more difficult to install than the tankslapper, but I think it is more invisible.
