hi all, i know i have to searsh in forum, but anyway who can help here to activate my 3gs, i have the original sim inside, what software is used to activate it ?

If it is written on your screen, on a red background, iPhone off, then no option but to log into iTunes to be able to enter the password.

itune can't connect with phone, it said that (phone is password locked and have to enter password ) and no way to enter code, onely emergency call.
can't read version, can't restor, nothing, is there a way ?

i have same problem with you ; you must put iphone in recovry mode or DFU mode then you reflash it with iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Restore.ipsw and you will get a activeted phone

NB: use latest itune and add into file hosts this adress 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
windows/c/system32/drivers/etc then open hosts file with wordpad or blocnote then add this adresse ( 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com ) at the end of the page
