BlackRa1n don't work with Spirit..or vice-versa
if you used BlackRa1n to JB before then used Spirit later..you will be stuck of Recovery mode...
and can't restore it to lower version other than 4.0/4.0.1...
as per experience....

Are you sure that your iphone is 3.1.2? Iphone stays on recovery after blackrain only on newer versions. PS. 3gs can be restored only on latest version. At this time iOS 4.0 can't be unlocked.

Spirit can't be used if phone is stuck in bootloader or need to be activated.

It's too late now. Apple has stopped signing 3.1.2 so unless you have it on Cydia, there'll be no way to get it.

before was jailbreaked with blackrainn. its workd ok till turn off device.
then used spirit - and after it phone always in recovery mode

before restore try to kick out with iRecovery, enter this:

Only restore to 4.0.1 and after this activate with special activation card or original sim , and use how to ipod for this moment .
