I'm thinking of getting one. But want to budget also for the editing software.
I don't plan on doing any 3D spacial edits. I just want to shoot, trim clip lengths and burn to DVD or HD-DVD. Thus the audience will see a red/cyan video.
-Is the file format .mts? If not what is it?
-Is Sony Vegas Pro the only software that 3D files can import into?
-Can I import the 3D clip into basic editors like Moviemaker, iMovie, Roxio Creator 2011 (i think this works but can't confirm) or Powerdirector v9 and edit the red/cyan video like any other 2D video?
