why didnt they released the recent remake/ rehash of Piranha in 2d

And I belive that the latest Saw is coming out in 3D what about the cinemas the small indie that cant afford the upgrade and in turn certin punters missing out on these flicks

You're also using up more screens, meaning less choice....

My local cineworld has 8 3D showings of Despicable me each day, but no Easy A at all......

If there was a film I wanted to watch, and I couldn't see it in 2D, I wouldn't bother. I want to sit and enjoy a film, not watch it through a pair of uncomfortable glasses, and get eye strain and feel dizzy- and pay extra for the privledge as well. All these film companies promote 3D as if it's something big and exciting and a reason to watch, but for me it's off putting and a reason to avoid watching it.

I think the lack of 2D screenings is as much to do with the film companies as it is the cinemas themselves. They don't want to put the 2D and 3D versions on equal footing, because then there's the risk of the 2D version making more money- it would mean they'd have to admit 3D is a fad and given a choice people would rather watch 2D.
