3220+o2=help!

i recently purchased a nokia 3220 from o2 (the flashy lights one) and everything was fine until i sent a text message and as we know o2 send a service reply back to the phone telling me how much credit is left, and the fone recognizes it as a message and plays the tone, my other phones never did this, only this one, and I blame o2 for sending them to me, ive asked for them to be turned off but they havent done anything, is there a way i can stop myphone receiving these messages? please help b4 i snap
 
Go into the shop where u got ur phone and ask a member of staff to help u. I think thats the best options
