311

I dug a couple of their tunes way back when. I couldn't be bothered now though. Although, with what Rezz said, Araber is probably the only one I'd listen to given the option.

I can understand why people would like them while they are high, but as far as listening to them sober, I don't get it. It's very basic chord constructions, vocal patterns, and lyrical content that (for the most part) doesn't make sense unless you're high.

Mediocre band. They are good musicians however, and could be a lot better.

Yeah, I've heard that before they are great to listen to high, and yes I testify to that. However, I hav become sober over about the last 3 years, and can say they're just as good to hear when you're sober. Go get high by meditating and then listen to them, the positivity bleeRAB into your soul. Meditation is definitely the best high I've ever felt, unfortunately it takes a little bit of work, rather than drinking a 6-pack of Bud, or lighting up. The only caution I would have about meditation is don't expect immediate results, it takes work like anything else. But, like I said I've done almost every thing you can do to get high, and nothing compares to meditation. Anybody who says it's boring or too serious is just not at the point in their life yet when they feel compelled to meditate, but I believe that day will come for all of us.

I like it too but there new album hasn't received positive reviews; I haven't listened to the whole thing yet. I think at this point in there career they are a live band because they put too much crappy-ballad-filler on their albums these days. Music, Grassroots, and 311 still pwn though! :yeah:

From what I remeraber on 311 they don't do much of that, but it could have changed since 2001's From Chaos, the last one I got...

And yeah, P-nut can thump it out!

Araber is one of my fave's

Played the crap outta all their cRAB until the last 2 that came out, never picked those up...not sure why.

I actually bought their newest disc, "Don't Tread On Me" a couple days ago on ebay cause I saw it for pretty cheap. Haven't heard anything off it, but I'm looking forward to checking it out. From what I read its got alot more reggae moments and less rock type stuff...which is fine with me, cause I always thought they did that really well
